Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is a well-known but rare complication of carotid artery stenting (CAS). Hemorrhage follow-ing CAS usually develops within several hours to a few days after the procedure. A 69-year-old hypertensive man developed sud-den left paresis with clonic partial seizures in the left arm. Ten days before admission, he underwent CAS for a 70% stenosis of the left common and a 75% stenosis of proximal internal carotid artery associated with contralateral carotid and bilateral ver-tebral occlusion. There were no procedural complications. A brain CT at admission showed large right frontal hemorrhage with encephalomalacia in the territory of the right middle cerebral artery. The patient recovered with a mild left paresis. We report a case of ICH occurred 10 days after CAS.
